1st & 2nd Grade

Teaching brings Mrs. Brubaker so much Joy! She has a naturally nurturing demeanor.  She encourages, mentors, and celebrates the students’ successes! Phonics is her foundation in teaching reading, writing, and spelling. For math, she teaches from the foundation of addition and builds subtraction and other concepts from there.

Mastery is key, to see each student achieve mastery of the subject material is vital. Mrs. Brubaker believes every child is unique and so is their learning style. Utilizing a variety of teaching methods to support a students’ unique learning style is what she has found to be effective. Mrs. Brubaker looks forward to celebrating your child’s successes this year in school!
